Can’t Hold Another Bite

2025; charcoal, graphite, and oil paint on raw canvas; various sizes

Can't Hold Another Bite responds to the daily deluge of frightening news - the erosion of our democracy, the dismantling of civil rights, the dire effects of climate change - it hits hard, overwhelms, and disarms. As a woman, I find the contradictory and misogynistic messaging regarding women's roles in contemporary American society particularly confounding. Rights threatened and undermined, women are left feeling devalued and ignored. This unprecedented access to information overwhelms and makes it increasingly difficult to critically evaluate what is valid and legitimate. How does one cut through the noise and identify what is accurate and helpful? While it’s tempting to disengage from the onslaught of disturbing news, it is increasingly imperative to stay informed and connected, to pay attention.
